Unique Perspectives: Where Does Magic Come From?
By Kim Stevens

Where does magic come from?
It’s a question that has deep implications for my life, because in knowing how to produce magic, I can consciously manifest more magic every day.
So, how does that happen?
Look, I love digging deep into all things spiritual … dancing with the divine, sojourning on a metaphorical hero’s journey toward greater enlightenment … but the truth is, the most common place to find magic isn’t in otherworldly exploration; it’s in a place where you’d least expect it to be: the practical.
Long ago, I made a decision that things always work out for me. God is good, the Universe is always on my side. Whenever life doesn’t feel that way, I have a practice I do to remind myself that the Universe has my back, even if something is telling me it doesn’t.
This practice is wonderfully versatile. It might mean stepping away from my desk, taking a break from a distressing email, or engaging with my vision board app. Sometimes, it involves yoga nidra, watching a comedian on my phone, taking deep breaths, or simply closing my eyes. These actions spark a profound shift within me. I start to feel hopeful, excited, and deeply loved. I laugh, letting go of burdens, and suddenly realize the powerful truth: I have complete control over my emotions. That realization? That's where the magic lies. I find myself realigned, with the magical belief that anything is possible.
Routine and commitment also channel this magic. Consider this: You're reading episode 60 of Unique Perspective. This series itself, with now 60 (!!) volumes I’ve sent out into the world, is a testament to how structured creativity can turn miraculous visions into shared insights. Journaling, meditation, exercise, and prayer are other conduits to these everyday miracles.
Reflecting on the magical moments in my life, I've realized they weren't mere coincidences or the result of an elusive sprinkle of sparkly fairy dust. Instead, these moments were the fruits of what I like to call "practical magic," the everyday actions and decisions that weave magic into both my business and personal life.
