Unique Perspectives: What Is the Meaning of Life?

Yes, I know it’s a big, monumental question but I just completely love asking it. The way I see things, if you think something is a certain way, that’s exactly how it will show up for you in your life. Whether you believe in a higher power or a universal force that connects your what if to your what is, I’ve always found that what you say translates into what you get.

Have you ever thought about why that is?

To me, at the epicenter of this massive question about the meaning of life is the creative power of the universe. I believe the universe is so creative but so am I! It's the gift I’ve been given, to become part of the creative process where I can choose – and therefore create – what life means for me.

And I love thinking about that. I love the power behind it. I love the idea of co-creating because it means no matter what happens, I am not alone. There’s something out there pulling me toward the highest, most authentic version of myself but I am also a deeply entwined part of this movement. I can align with it, leverage it, or use it to create whatever I want my life to be. In this sense, life isn’t something ascribed to me; it is something I am actively involved in co-creating. The process is continual. The movement is forever.

There was a time when I felt like I was spiraling downward but I don’t feel like that anymore. Now, I’m spiraling upward, on a never-ending path of creation that brings infinite expansion really, for eternity.

What is the meaning of life? Well, it’s whatever I say it is. Ultimately, I get to choose what life means and when I make the decision that’s exactly what I start to see.
